Anime refers specifically to animation from Japan or as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes. There are many anime out there which stick out to different people differently. I myself didn't like anime at first ten years ago, but I later realized the "cartoon" I used to watch on TV were anime. They were the following: Princess Sarah, Fancy Lala, Robo 009. I wasn't allowed to watch any cartoon network or disney and these "cartoon" were aired on a channel called Sony during the 1600 - 1800 time period. Anime to start out with!!
